RANDOLPH, W.Va (WDTV) - The City of Elkins has announced they will begin recruiting new police officers in March of 2024.
The City of Elkins Police Department is now recruiting and has a testing date set for March 30, 2024.
They say applicants must be between the ages of 18-45 on March 30 and applications are due by 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024.
The testing date will consist of three parts
Fitness Test: 9:00 a.m.
Written Test: 12:30 p.m.
Interviews: 2:00 p.m.
New hires will receive benefits including health insurance, retirement, take-home cruiser, and more.
West Virginia Certified Officers can earn up to $20,000 in recruitment incentives and Uncertified Officers can earn up to $4,500.
